  The funeral of Obi Cubana’s mother took place yesterday, July 16, at Oba, Anambra state. Many Nigerian celebrities and dignitaries attended the funeral which has been a topic of conversation on social media. Naira and other hard currencies were at sprayed at the funeral which can be described as a total shutdown of the state.   Some fans of Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, have expressed surprise at how the mother’s burial to Nigerian billionaire and club owner Obi Cubana has outshined the singer’s birthday. Unarguably during the birthday of any Nigerian celebrity, social media is always agog with photos of the celebrant accompanied by prayers and birthday wishes. However, the birthday celebration of Wizkid took a different turn online as the internet space seemed to be agog with videos and moments from Obi Cubana mother’s burial currently ongoing in Oba, Anambra state. Although some blogs, fans and friends have taken out time to celebrate the singer, social media feeds and timelines have more moments from the burial of Obi Cubana mother’s funeral than photos of Wizkid.

  A video making rounds on  social media  captures the moment a man walked in on his wife while her alleged lover was eating in their home. In the video, the man, who appeared to have gotten intel about his wife’s lover, stormed into the house and caught the side lover sitting down comfortably to eat. The wife could be seen fidgeting in one corner of the sitting room as the man ranted about how he has finally confirmed all he had been hearing about his wife. The wife’s alleged lover was unperturbed by the scene the husband was creating as he continued eating the meal, which further provoked the man.   A snake and four cats were killed after they were discovered living in a woman’s car in Benin City, Edo state capital. It was gathered that the snake dropped from the car; an SUV when she parked in front of a church after she dropped her kids in school. She was said to have been driving her kids around with the car, unaware that that animals lived in there. After the snake dropped from the car the woman and other people around the church searched the car and were shocked to see four cats lying down in a corner in the trunk. The snake and cats were killed by locals who tagged the strange discovery as a “spiritual attack”.

  Billionaire businessman, Obi Cubana has taken delivery of an expensive diamond pendant in honor of his late mother. The Club Owner who has been in the news following the gift of over 300 cows received as gifts for his mother whose burial is around the corner. According to a luxury jeweler, Obi Cubana had reached out on what a $100K [50 million naira] would get him to honor his mother. In return, the jeweler made him a diamond pendant with the face of his late mother on it.

  A Facebook user claimed that a priest resurrected a dead man after his body had been in the mortuary for three weeks, but Freeze blasted the report and gave reasons why it can't be true. The Facebook user, Izu Nwaobi Joe Okakwu claimed he was present to witness the "miracle" which happened at Aladimma hospital, Owerri on     He shared a photo of the man lying at the back of a car before his "resurrection" and another of him after he came back to life. He also shared videos of the supposed miracle and an argument ensued on his Facebook page with some saying it was possible and others sayin it was fake.     Freeze has now weighed in on the debate, giving reasons why it isn't possible that the man was brought back to life after 3 weeks.   20-year-old serial child killer, Masten Milimo Wanjala has confessed to murdering ten children and sucking his victims’ blood. According to Kenyan media, Wanjala was arrested on Wednesday, July 14th following the discovery of two bodies dumped in Kabete, Nairobi, Kenyan capital. The bodies found is said to be that of two of his victims identified as 12-year-old Junior Mutuku Musyoka and 13-year-old Charles Opindo. The suspect who is now assisting the police to recover his victims’ bodies has been linked to several other disappearances in recent months. The 20-year-old made front pages of a string of newspapers in the country on Thursday, July 15th after he confessed to ten killings and sucking the blood from at least one of his victims.   A married woman has begun trending in the news for the wrong reason after she sent her nude pictures to her lover – something she’s currently regretting. It was gathered from reports by Facebook users, that the unnamed woman who is said to be a mother of two children, allegedly sent her nudes to her younger lover whom she was having an affair with.   Rivers State Police Command is investigating one Pastor Tony Daniel of Jesus Alive Word Refiners International Church, Port Harcourt, has been accused of raping a 20-year-old woman. The rape case was reported to a human rights advocacy group, Centre For Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign, by the victim. According to the young lady who narrated the story, a choir mistress and a female church member held her while Pastor Daniel raped her violently. Also, the pastor alleged gave the victim some substance suspected after the incident to swear that she will not tell anybody.   A 13-year-old student of the Command Secondary School in Suleja, near Abuja, narrowly  escaped death after being treated with the wrong medication by a nurse at the school clinic, Saharareporters is reporting. It was learned that the incident occurred on April 30 when the student sought medical treatment for having a high body temperature. After the drugs were administered to the student, he began to develop rashes all over his body. He also noticed that his lips were swollen and his eyes were red. The situation worsened when the nurse abandoned him for three days. An eye witness account of what ensued is below: “True story, a person visited Apostolic Church at Orji in Owerri North to wed his second wife, but the church rejected him. A 17year old boy whose heart desire is to get married to his 16year old girlfriend, has finally succeeded in getting what he wanted after putting extra pressure on his parents. According to reports, the 17-year-old identified as Somto Nwachukwu dropped out of school and expressed his desire to marry his 16-year-old girlfriend. After much pressure from the boy, his parents agreed to his demands. The parents gave their blessings to the marriage and organised a traditional wedding ceremony for the couple.
