Choir mistress and a female church member held me as he r.aped me” – 20-year-old woman claims she was allegedly ra.ped by Port Harcourt based pastor

 


Rivers State Police Command is investigating one Pastor Tony Daniel of Jesus Alive Word Refiners International Church, Port Harcourt, has been accused of raping a 20-year-old woman.

The rape case was reported to a human rights advocacy group, Centre For Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign, by the victim.

According to the young lady who narrated the story, a choir mistress and a female church member held her while Pastor Daniel raped her violently.

Also, the pastor alleged gave the victim some substance suspected after the incident to swear that she will not tell anybody.

She said the incident happened when she was invited by the Pastor for settlement of issues she is having with the Pastor’s wife.

Apparently, this is not the first time the pastor is caught in a compromising situation with church members. On March 19, 2020, Pastor Daniel was detained at Azikiwe Divisional Police headquarters following a complaint by one Mr Ndidi Austin who alleged that he caught the Pastor with his wife in a hotel.

Also, a member of the group, Barrister Festus Bonwin said a petition demanding for an investigation into the allegation made against the Pastor has been officially made by the organization on behalf the victim.
